Now, this decision was close; I could have gone for Akara or Deckard. What clinched it for me was the combination of Deckard's lack of Nice points and Amy's two Active points; I can deal with a grumpy Sim, but I don't really like lazy ones. So, Akara it is for the next generation!

Elzix continues to be a rather strange Romance Sim by caring for his niece more than her two Family Sim parents.

Amanda is pondering the possibility of selling baby poop as a fertiliser. They could make a fortune!

Charsi gets on her Family Sim panties and spends an entire afternoon snuggling, talking to, and skilling with the twins.

Elzix brings home a fellow gas station peon, and proceeds to show off his manual dexterity ~~wink wink nudge nudge~~.

He started heartfarting the guy, so I sent him to drink some strawberry lemonade.

Personally, I'd be a bit worried if some guy who was spewing hearts and growing flowers in his footprints was flirting with me, but Gas Station Peon seems to like it.

Last time:

Matthew Rodriguez the not-fail!Butler brought Elzix back; however, thanks to suspended animation whilst in Butlerland or some such, he's now about ten days younger than his siblings. Charsi, in true Family Sim fashion, took responsibility for much of his rearing, whilst Amanda and Kashya continued to be made of win and promotions. There was an Epic Fire that almost killed Amanda and Kashya, and Elzix grew up into a terminally cute teenager.

We start this update with a nice, picturesque shot of Amanda, Kashya and Elzix after-school-snacking.

The girl Drognan brought home with him is, as we say in the vernacular, a bit of a bitch.

Rather a lot of a bitch, actually, and asking to get tied to the telescope and set on fire.

The bitchiness isn't even swayed by a bit of autonomous flirting by the resident cutie!

Although she does agree to go on a date with him. I'm not sure how that happened.

Elzix is supposed to be shy. I don't think he realises this. (Yes, they are pre-woohoo.)

Normally, this would be a recipe for disaster. They both have the same amount of Body Points, though, and that seems to balance out the Punches of Doom.

Amanda is off to work again, to fend off the advances of the odd man with the whip and ophidiophobia.

And Elzix's date with bitchy!Sophie, as well as popping his cherry, nets him a pink note that looks saturated in some sort of teenybopper perfume.

Now, I realise Elzix isn't an adult yet, and could technically still be in the running for heir. And I'm certainly planning to keep him around. But Charsi has the features I wanted to keep in the Legacy this early, plus Elzix is a Romance Sim; I love him too much to inflict marriage and babies on him. We shall see what happens.

First action as heir: prune some trees.

Second action as heir: primp like there's no tomorrow!

And it's off to the wishing well to find a potential lover, and to actually try it out, as I was curious.

Result: Peter Simms, who doesn't have either of Charsi's turnons (blonde hair and mechanical skills - she asked) and does have her turnoff (glasses). Fail, wishing well, fail.

So it's off downtown, where she can show off her lack of dancing skills.

She scopes the room and swoons over this fellow, so over she goes to chat.

He loves her shapely gaming console.

Although I'd like to know what exactly he thinks he's doing in Charsi's room in bat form.

Elzix, the only one not falling asleep on his feet, goes to make friends with the scary, scary vampire... through a round of hearty tickling.

And is "punished" with a stern cuddling.

Meanwhile, Charsi and Vincent head off on a date, with which I will now spam you.

And, well. She wanted to.

Actual wedding! I do these so rarely, I sometimes forget what's involved.

...and an inconvenient number of babies. But I actually quite like twins, so I'm not too put out by this.

I've got very few shots of the babies. Suffice it to say there are two, a boy and a girl. Both have either S1 or S2, black hair, and brown eyes. The boy is Deckard, the girl is Akara.

And upon returning home, Charsi pops again!

The Kurast Legacy, 1.2

Last time:

Kashya and Amanda married and had three babies; Charsi, Drognan and Elzix. Chandler Ryan the fail!butler kidnapped Elzix just as Charsi and Drognan were getting into private school, and Charsi and Drognan -- who are not twins, but were born on the same day, to different birth-mothers -- became teenagers.

The new butler, Matthew Rodrigues, endears himself to me even more by bringing Elzix with him one morning! Unfortunately, about ten in-game days have passed, so he's significantly younger than his siblings now.

He's a much better butler. He feeds and changes and bathes Elzix at the proper times, instead of feeding him while he needs bathing, and keeps the house nice and clean.

Charsi wanted to get fit. She looks so happy about it!

They currently have no desk space, so Drognan keeps leaving his homework on the front lawn. He lost a grade before I figured that out.

Charsi is such a family Sim. Elzix is going to grow up thinking he has three mothers.

I feel more sorry for Kashya, though. Being noogied is far less traumatic than nearly burning to death and then peeing yourself.

Sunday morning at the Kurast house:

And Elzix doing something active, as he has a ridiculous TEN ACTIVE POINTS.

He does this almost every night. I think he has separation anxiety from being kidnapped by Chandler Ryan the fail!butler.

Amanda: Man, my wifey's hot when she's earning money!

All the kidlets sitting down for breakfast together before school. Charsi's often responsible for this.

If Charsi hasn't gone to bed by the time Elzix is tired, he sleeps in Drognan's bed.

Elzix tries out singing. Drognan is very supportive, like he and Charsi almost always are for their baby brother.

I'm not sure why they're so horrified about Charsi talking about the world.

Amanda's getting on a bit, ~~despite my feeding her and Kashya an Elixir of Life each so that they wouldn't be elders while Elzix was still a child~~ so she gets a bit of a makeover, mostly clothing-wise.

Drognan discovers the family addiction and uses it to manage to get to work without passing out.

It doesn't help.

Amanda: Mr. Bear says you're very sexy in your uniform, Kashya.

Charsi: *just keep playing, and the bear will go away*

Amanda: *Dear diary, nobody likes my bear...*

Now, I wonder whose snowman this could be.
Kashya... 6 Nice points. Drognan? No, he has ten. Elzix? Also has ten. Nope, it was Amanda and Charsi; the two with three Nice points each. Together, they have as many Nice points as the next-meanest person in the house.

And, as seems to be tradition, he shocks Drognan (and Amanda, this time) by actually adhering to the laws of time.

I'm not sure when the next update will be up, as I'm moving tomorrow and we won't have Internet for the first few days, at least. But hopefully it won't be too long.

Also, with regards to my numbering system: Generation Two will start when the heir takes over. This is the way that makes sense to me, in my rather dubious logic.

We met Kashya Kurast, who became the newest member of the Sim Military, and, in her exploration of a custom downtown, acquired a stalker, proved to be far more into women than men, and, at the end of the update, got asked out on a date.

Seeing as Amanda is carrying her baby, Kashya feels it best to make an honest woman of her.

I am phenomenally stupid sometimes, and after their date, there was the "try for baby" dialogue available. Me, forgetting that DUH BOTH WOMEN CAN HAVE BABIES, assumed that Amanda's pregnancy hadn't saved right, and clicked it again.

And thus:

While she was off work, Kashya was making friends with Autumn, the witch she met in the first update.

The next day, Amanda gives birth.

Which wakes Kashya, who has had a rough pregnancy.

Wakes her just in time, actually.

Now, I don't have any pictures of the babies, because frankly all babies look the same, and I fail at getting pictures. Amanda had a little girl with S1, black hair, and green eyes, called Charsi. Kashya had a little boy with S4, black hair, and blue eyes, called Drognan.

Kashya: I's stoodying, to further mah learnin'.

She also really hates Chandler-the-butler.

Promotion! And a long-nosed guy who thinks Kashya is gross. She's not available, mister, so keep your x-hearts to yourself.

Kashya: Man, my wifey is hot when she's eating grilled cheese!

And the result of said hotness? Closetsex.

Kashya disapproves of snow when she's trying to make nice with the headmaster.

The kidlets got into private school! But in the process of wooing the headmaster, I wasn't keeping track of the butler, and HE WALKED OFF WITH THE BABY.

HE WALKED OFF WITH THE FUCKING BABY. And I'd already saved by the time I realised that his "leaving for the night!" message included "and taking your baby!" so even when I exited and reloaded, he KEPT WALKING OFF WITH THE BABY.

SEE? NO BABY.

AND HE COMES BACK THE NEXT MORNING, SANS BABY.

FUCKER.

Charsi covers her grief by cooking and consuming perfect muffins.

And getting an A+ on her first day.

So, there's a witch spell that lets you summon Sims, right? So I thought I'd get Kashya to do that, with Elzix.

EXCEPT SHE COULDN'T, BECAUSE BABIES DON'T APPEAR IN PHONEBOOKS.

Charsi and Drognan are quite good friends by now, thanks largely to this sort of thing.

This is Kashya Kurast, my pointy little pixie founder. She's a Fortune Sim whose LTW is to earn 100,000 Simoleons...

...so I immediately set her to finding a job. She goes for the best-paying one out of the five; the military.

I'm not sure what was in the cookbook that was so shocking, but I love her expressions.

The welcome wagon was full of Playables, so I sent her off to Divas, the local karaoke bar, to chat up potential partners.

First meet-and-greet was with our very own Red Zipper Jacket Boy, but I made an oath to myself not to let him or Hot Blonde Downtownie into my legacy, so she had a bit of a chat with him and then moved on.

First meeting with Allyn Thomason, who will become VERY SIGNIFICANT later. *anvils*

At first, Kashya thinks she's five-alarm hot...

But then things go a wee bit sour.

All right, a lot sour.

Divas being a bust, Kashya heads out to Schroedinger's Grocery Store, wondering whether the store both exists and does not exist if there is nobody shopping at it.

Since she wants to earn "some money", I stick her behind the coffee bar for a while, but everybody filters outside, alas.

TO WATCH THIS CREEPY FUCKER. NO, YOU CANNOT HAS A HUG.

She ALMOST loses her oven privileges by walking away from a TV dinner, but she gets back in time and has non-burnt dinner.

Other Sims have Angry Smustle; Kashya has Angry SSX3.

And critical failure rolls on Craft: Mac and Cheese.

I'm... pretty sure that eyeshadow isn't regulation, Kashya.

So, after work and a brief nap, it's off to the creatively-named The Nightclub! Combining dancing, drinking, dining and canoodling in the hottub! Kashya takes advantage of the dining first, when...

Allyn, or as I like to call her, Stalky McCreeper, swoops in and steals her fried chicken right out from under her nose!

It's okay, though, Kashya steals it back while Stalky's preoccupied with the bathroom door.

She SEEMS to be talking to this bit of genetic implausibility here, and for a moment I wonder how broad genes will go with pointy...

But no. There's a lady behind him, and as Kashya seems to be making clear, she is rather into the ladies.

Stalky continues to stalk, watching Kashya eat her dinner like a wolf watches deer graze.

Kashya introduces herself to Amanda, and I introduce myself to the Gimp's "Dodge" tool so that you can actually make out details in this picture.

They both like art! It turns out during the conversation that they both like different TYPES of art -- they keep making the angry face, but then keep talking -- and it's enough to base a friendship on!

Thinking the woman admiring you is hot is perfectly normal, Kashya says.

...Stalky, are you converting Chandler to your clandestine ways?

This would be a lot less creepy if a) she weren't hanging off every word they say, and b) her expression changed ONCE.

...oh. Chandler thinks Kashya is hot. That's nice, dear, but you have a bit too much Y for her tastes.

Whoops, spoke too soon. Although I don't think that counts; it went right back afterwards.

Okay, at this point I had to go looking to find out why they were all being startled by some old guy.

The next morning she heads back out to Divas, having a day off, and proceeds to... strike out, pretty much.

Exhibit A: There is nobody to be wink-and-finger-gunned at.

Exhibit B: this chick whose name I can't remember is COMPLETELY burning her.

Exhibit C: A CEMETARY. In which the most interesting thing is a fountain.

However, she does get to have a cute little wicked smirk as she soaps up the fountain.

She's getting kind of hungry and my Sleepy Hollows Cemetary has no food facilities, so she heads over to Olympus Dining and --

FFS STALKY.

While Stalky's off in the loo, Kashya has an animated conversation about violins, despite not actually facing anyone who's talking.

I THINK it was Armando Cox, since otherwise he's been talking happily to a wall, and that's just sad.

*sighs* Return of the Stalky.

While Stalky is distracted by Armando, Kashya makes a break for it outside, and desperately strikes up a conversation with Autumn Louie the witch here, who's very sympathetic about burning food.

And seems to have been hurt by love before! Kashya takes it upon herself to cheer up the good witch, and by the time she heads home, they're quite friendly!

Crosswordin' in her knickers. There's a word I'm looking for here, and it's not "classy".

Kashya gets invited out on a date! But...
